We would like to start  ‘The Lounge’ zoom group every Tuesday from 7-8pm so that we can help support and encourage one another throughout this time when we cannot meet in person.

It will be set up like a ‘virtual youth group’ and the young people in the group can join and participate in a quiz, games or just chatting with everyone. They would be able to come and go as they please with that.

For your young person to be able to join the ZOOM calls we need your consent. We are committed to ensure that any personal information you provide is handled fairly and confidentially and in accordance with Data Protection legislation.

There will always be two leaders in the group calls – one of them will be the ‘Host’ and there will be a password to get into the group. This will ensure that no one outside of ‘The Lounge’ will be able to get in. Once you have returned the consent form you will be sent a link and the password for the zoom call. All you need to do then is paste the link into google and it will take you to the right place and tell you what to do from there.

To ensure we are all well connected and use this facility correctly and safely, we have come up with a few ground rules for the ZOOM group calls.

  1.  Respect others as individuals – giving the other person our attention, responding politely and not ridiculing what other people say. Not everyone will have the same opinion and that’s ok.
  2. Respect others privacy and confidentiality – you must not share information of participants in the group to anyone else and remember that anything discussed in the group must be treated confidentially.
  3. No bullying, harassment or discrimination.  No use of explicit / sexual language.
  4. No Tolerance Policy – members of ‘The Lounge’ team will be part of the group to both participate and monitor conversations to help and support when required. We reserve the right to eject people from the room if they do not adhere to the rules.
